🐕 Safety Analysis — Dogs

Fresh mint leaves are safe for dogs in small amounts. Helps with nausea and breath. Concentrated mint oil is toxic.

Recommended Portions

Reference unit: Fresh leaves 1-2 leaves

🐕 Small dog (<10 kg)

1 leaf (small dogs)

🐕 Medium dog (10–25 kg)

2-3 leaves (medium dogs)

🐕 Large dog (>25 kg)

3-4 leaves (large dogs)

Recommended frequency: No more than 2-3 times per week

Caution

Never give mint oil. Never give pennyroyal mint

Only give fresh mint leaves in small amounts. Never give mint oil. Beware of pennyroyal mint which is severely toxic.
