Scallions, part of the onion family, contain thiosulphate, which can cause hemolytic anemia due to red blood cell damage. All parts are toxic.

Weakness, vomiting, pale gums, red-colored urine, rapid breathing, lethargy.

Toxic members of the onion family can cause anemia. Both the white and green parts are dangerous.

Symptoms to Watch For

Lethargy, pale gums, red-colored urine, vomiting, diarrhea.
